Eligibility Conditions:

• Sr. Section Engineer (Cadre Post) Pay Level-7 working in the concerned department (Electrical or Mechanical) of Zonal Railway/Production Unit.
• Minimum 05 years of Service Experience as Sr. Section Engineer (Cadre Post) Pay Level-7 is necessary.
• Total APAR Grading of last three years (22-23, 23-24 and 24-25) should not be less than 11 marks and Grading of APAR of last year should not be less than 'GOOD'.
• Candidate must have minimum 05 years' residual service.
• Medical Category: B-1 is required.
• Cooling-off period of three years will be maintained between two tenures in RDSO.
• Candidates against whom any penalty was imposed as outcome of vigilance case during the previous RDSO tenure will be debarred.

• Attested photocopies of Service Book (each page attested) APARs of the applicants for the last three years (2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25) NO D&AR and SPE/Vig. clearance status

Selection will be based on the screening of eligible candidates by a Screening Committee. Screening will be conducted based on prescribed marks for two items: APAR of last 03 years (Maximum Marks: 15) and Educational/Professional Qualifications (Maximum Marks: 05). After screening, a panel and a merit list corresponding to the vacancies will be prepared.

Selected candidates will be posted in the concerned department for 04 years on a tenure basis which can be extended or curtailed as per administrative requirements, and the post is ex-cadre with eligibility for further promotion in their parent cadre only.

The official notification does not specify any age limit or age relaxations, but stipulates that experience in ex-cadre posts and pay level granted due to MACP will not be considered.

Selection is conducted by a Screening Committee based on prescribed marks for the APAR of the last 03 years and educational qualifications, without a written examination.

Candidates with pending or contemplated D&AR and SPE/Vigilance cases, those who have not completed the required cooling-off period of three years, or those against whom any penalty was imposed as an outcome of a vigilance case during a previous RDSO tenure are debarred.

Candidates must send attested photocopies of their Service Book, APARs for the last three years (2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25), and a clear D&AR and Vigilance clearance through proper channel.
